‘SEE THE BAKERS AT WORK’ TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking any of our Experiences you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions.
Health & Safety:
There will be a full safety briefing during the first 15 minutes. The Rye Bakery reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the site should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.
Participants must be 16 or over. There is no upper age limit, although participants will need a reasonable level of fitness to take part in the activities. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality this cannot always be achieved; please contact The Rye Bakery for advice before purchasing. The Rye Bakery will endeavour to ensure that all participants have as full an experience as possible.
All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes. We recommend wearing sensible clothing and are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. If you have been or are suffering from sickness or an upset stomach within 48 hours of the course, we would ask that you not to attend and contact us to let us know.
All open wounds must be covered with a blue plaster. If you don’t have one, let us know on arrival and we will be happy to provide one.
Special dietary requirements & food allergies:
Where refreshments are provided, please inform us in advance of any allergies, thank you.
Payment:
All payment must be made in full at the time of booking, thank you. We cannot take provisional bookings.
Liability:
The Rye Bakery will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions.
Cancellations:
If you are unable to attend a ‘See the Bakers at Work’ please let us know at least 10 days prior.
Refunds:
No refund will be made if you fail to attend (and we are unable to reallocate your place). A full refund will be received if requested within 10 days of purchase of a ‘See The Bakers At Work’ experience, providing a date has not been booked. After this point, a 15% administration charge will be applied, including for exceptional circumstances. All refunds are made to the source of the initial payment.
Cancellations by The Rye Bakery:
In the unlikely event of cancellation of ‘See The Bakers At Work’ by ourselves, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or course, or a full refund (within 14 days) of any course fees. There is a maximum number of 28 participants on any one session. We require a minimum of 5 persons taking part in this experience for it to go ahead. We, The Rye Bakery, reserve the right to cancel an experience day with 24 hour’s notice.
If ‘See The Bakers At Work’ was paid for by gift voucher(s), we will replace the vouchers to the value. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation. We reserve the right to make amendments to content if necessary without notice.
Booking
The Rye Bakery will allocate session slots on a first come, first served basis. Please do not assume your experience is booked until you have received your booking confirmation email, this is required for admittance on the day. If you haven’t received your booking confirmation within two weeks of booking, then please contact The Rye Bakery immediately. You should not make any travel or accommodation arrangements in connection with the experience until you have received your booking confirmation email. Once a date has been booked, the date cannot be changed unless due to exceptional circumstances. If an exceptional circumstance is likely to affect you doing the experience you must notify The Rye Bakery immediately, otherwise you may risk losing it altogether. If an exceptional circumstance forces you to cancel the experience on or just before the day, please do not assume you will be issued a refund or allowed to re-book until this has been confirmed by a Rye Bakery employee. If you wish to re-book your session due to exceptional circumstances, proof must be provided before another booking can be made. The recipient name can be exchanged providing The Rye Bakery is given a minimum of seven days notice. If the person who arrives does not match our records they will not be allowed admittance onto the experience.
Vouchers
Vouchers for The Rye Bakery are valid for one year from date of purchase unless otherwise stated. The experience must be booked and fulfilled before expiry of the voucher. It is the participant’s responsibility to book with advance notice to avoid disappointment. The Rye Bakery is not responsible for unauthorised use of your voucher.
Generally The Rye Bakery will not extend a voucher’s expiry, unless it is due to exceptional circumstances. Each application will be considered individually and if an extension is permissible an administration charge will be applied. A voucher can only be extended once and it must still be within its expiry date. Once the voucher has been extended it cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
Exceptional Circumstances
In terms of issuing a refund, an exceptional circumstance may be: illness/ injury, pregnancy or bereavement. For changing the date of your experience or extending a voucher’s validity, an exceptional circumstance may also include jury service, mechanical breakdown and severe travel delays. The Rye Bakery will require proof of any exceptional circumstance. Work commitments or holidays/ trips away from home are not deemed to be exceptional circumstances.
